The Career Services is strongly committed to the academic success and personal growth of all students. We offer a wide range of services and activities that are free of charge to all UGF students & alumni.

An Outline of the Office of Career Services:

  • Collaborate with the Trio Student Support Service team to provide workshops.
    (Job Search Strategies, Cover letters, Resumes and Interviewing Techniques)
  • Mentoring program for all 1st year freshman & transfer students.
  • Provide word processing/internet access. (7 computers)
  • Provide peer/professional tutoring. (6 work-study students/recommended by UGF faculty & 4 staff members)
  • Provide study space for students to study alone or with peers.
  • Provide access to career assessment tools. Campbell’s Interest & Skills Inventory, Myers Briggs & Personal Skills Map.
  • Placement File Management-Mandatory for all Education majors. Portfolio of information for employers.
  • Provide an open area for students to attend workshops related to academic success. 
  • Job Listings: Post job openings on the job board and also on our Career Services website. 
  • Scholarships: External Scholarships available.
  • Internships/Cooperative Education Experiences.
  • Work-Study & Student Employment Applications & Placement. (On & Off campus placement)
  • Create, collect, distribute Graduate Survey information.
  • Placement & Salary statistics.
  • Study abroad programs.
  • Career Fair listings.
  • Co-Facilitate the Annual Employer Expo
  • Provide an environment for their development, academically, emotionally, socially and physically.
