Buck & Nunes Earn All-Region Honors
Great Falls, MT – University of Great Falls volleyball player Cali Buck (Choteau, MT/Choteau High School) has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as she’s been named to the 2009 AVCA NAIA All-Northwest Region Team while teammate Tosha Nunes (Fallon, NV/Churchill County High School) was named to the Honorable Mention All-Northwest Region Team. Together, Buck & Nunes led the Lady Argos to an 18-11 overall mark, including an 11-3 showing in conference to earn a share of the Frontier Conference regular season championship. More>

Warriors Top UGF In FC Tournament Championship
Lewiston, ID – It took back-to-back five-set matches, but a tired Lewis-Clark State College roster persevered its way to its third consecutive Frontier Conference tournament title. The Warriors brought down Great Falls 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 15-12 in the title match of the Holiday Inn Express Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament on Saturday night. More>

UGF Overpowers Rocky In Frontier Conference Semifinals
Lewiston, ID – Sixteen kills from Tosha Nunes and 11 service aces helped Great Falls get past Rocky Mountain on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Express Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament. With the exception of the third set, it was smooth sailing for the top-seeded Argos as they cruised by the fourth-seed Bears 25-18, 25-14, 25-27, 25-19. More>

No. 1 Great Falls Defeats No. 8 Montana Western
Lewiston, Idaho – After two close sets, the University of Great Falls settled in and rolled in the third set to defeat the University of Montana Western in the opening round of the Holiday Inn Frontier Conference Tournament on Friday. The Argos won the match in three sets 25-21, 25-23, 25-8. More>

Four Lady Argos Honored By Frontier Conference
Lewiston, ID – University of Great Falls volleyball players Cali Buck (Choteau, MT/Choteau High School), Jennifer Petersen (San Jose, CA/Presentation High School) and Tosha Nunes (Fallon, NV/Churchill County High School) were among 12 players honored as 1st Team All-Frontier Conference selections announced by conference commissioner Kurt Paulson at the conference tournament social held at the Lewis-Clark State College Activity Center, site of this weekend’s conference tournament. The three first team selections was the most of any other school in the conference. Also, honored from UGF was outside hitter Kelsey Vanuden (Thousand Oaks, CA/Thousand Oaks High School) who was named to the conference’s 2nd Team as well as earning Freshman of the Year honors. More>
